Graduation Day
Graduates are to check into the Student Center (Bldg 1700) no later than 3:30 p.m.. Staff will be on hand to assist graduates, as needed. Here is a list for graduates to help prepare for graduation day:
- Graduates should arrive wearing cap and gown. Wear tassel on the front right side.
- Bookstore staff will be located within the PE Complex the morning of graduation for students who have not purchased their cap, gown and tassel.
- Parking is free to all graduates and guests.
- Check into the Student Center (cafeteria) between 3 - 3:30 p.m. Rehearsal starts promptly at 4 p.m.
- Fill out information card, which is used
by the Faculty Announcer, and is provided to the professional
photographer.
- Please provide email address so the professional photographer can email you your grad pictures.
- Please be aware that children or guest will not be allowed at rehearsal.
- Avoid bringing personal items, as there is no storage available, you will have to hold onto items.
- Turn off all electronic equipment (e.g. pagers, cell phones, etc.).
- Water will be available in the Student Center dining room for graduates.
- At the end of the ceremony, the Associated Students of Las Positas College (ASLPC) will provide a small reception for graduates and their families.
