Seeing a Counselor
To get the maximum benefit from counseling, establish a relationship with a counselor that you feel comfortable with and check in each semester.
- Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS/CARE) and Disability Resource Center students should contact those departments directly for counseling appointments.
- Distance education students: Counseling assistance is available by phone and through email.
Hours & Services
Drop-In
Assistance for new, returning, and currently enrolled students with short questions (about 10 minutes). Students with critical incidents may use drop-in.
- Mondays-Thursdays: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Fridays: 9 a.m. - noon
Services & Appointments
Currently enrolled students can make an appointment for any reason. Please call 925.424.1400 or stop by Building 700 to schedule an appointment.
Appointments are required for the following services:

Education Plans-SEPs (30 min.)
A personalized, multi-semester “ map” of your classes. - Unofficial
Evaluations-Transcript Review (30 min.)
Evaluating courses from other colleges toward current goals.
Please have official transcripts on file or bring unofficial transcripts to the appointment. - Personal Counseling (30 min.)
Assistance with any concern that is interferring with academic success. Students with critical incidents may use drop-in. - Career Counseling

Contract of classes that student agrees to that guarantees transfer admission to participating colleges. - Readmission Contracts

Class plan for students readmitted after dismissal.
