Intercollegiate Athletics

The Las Positas College Intercollegiate Athletics Teams are part of the Community College League of California’s Commission on Athletics (COA).  We compete in the Coast Conference

Club Sports

Las Positas College offers Club Sports for sports that are not part of the Community College League of California’s Commission on Athletics (COA).  Club Sports allow LPC students the opportunity to represent LPC in competition during Collegiate and/or non-Collegiate competitions.

Las Positas College, like nearly every educational institution, receives Federal funds and is thus required to comply with Title IX.  Title IX requires that colleges effectively accommodate the interests and abilities of students of both sexes. Participation opportunities for all LPC Club Sports are equally available to students of both sexes.  LPC does not offer different sex Club Sports teams.  Men and women will be accommodated equally for all LPC Club Sport opportunities.

Club Sports receive limited financial assistance from the LPC Athletics Program for some of the cost of registration fees and travel incurred as part of the sport season. Club Sports Athletes actively fundraise the remainder of the expenses. Eligibility for Club Sports varies for each sport, because different sports compete under the eligibility criteria of specific sport associations.
